The Maine Girls’ Academy provides rich opportunities in the visual and performing arts. Each student begins her career with a foundation in music and fine arts. A variety of rotating electives, as well as independent study options, allow students to build in directions best suited for their creative goals. At MGA, emphasis is placed on connecting the arts to civic leadership, broader communities and global initiatives, and integrating visual and performing arts across the curriculum. Though outcomes are important, it is the focus on creativity, persistent curiosity and how we take in the world around us that is the most meaningful component of the Fine Arts Department.
