From the moment the morning bell rings to the presentation of afternoon announcements, MGA students experience a vibrant, dynamic daily rhythm. With the academic day lasting from 7:45-2:30 PM, and endless club and athletic opportunities presented after school hours, students experience a complete education from beginning to end.
MGA follows a block-scheduling model that allows for comprehensive 90-minute classes. Students choose seven courses that are studied and rotated over a two-week period of time. An eighth course allows for additional study opportunities and student exploration.

* A unique MGA feature is the Lion’s Den Café – that offers fresh soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps and daily specials. Homemade breads, muffins and desserts are made and offered daily, along with healthy and delicious options like yogurts, fresh fruit and granola. Students may pre-pay using a credit card system and have the option of pre-ordering each day for no lines and no waiting.
Of course, not every day is a typical day at MGA. Special traditions, pep rallies, announcements and guest speakers require a specialized schedule. These individualized schedules, announced well in advance to students and families, will allow all classes to meet, while still making time for the day’s unique activity or gathering.
After school, students may elect to participate in MGA’s wide variety of co-curricular clubs and offerings. Beyond this time frame, athletic practices and game schedules commence, showcasing the energy and enthusiasm of MGA.
Uniforms:
Plaid skirt. White polo. Black tights. Black sweater. Gray fleece.
MGA girls love their uniforms and quickly embrace the ease, comfort, versatility and power of the plaid. Have a special necklace you like to wear? Can’t resist putting on your favorite shoes? At MGA, students can accessorize and personalize in a number of ways, all while complementing the smart look of the school uniform.
In addition, Jeans Days and Dress-Up Days, offered throughout the course of the year, allow students the opportunity to express their unique clothing style. These days often benefit important causes – like Project Graduation, an organization in need or a special service agency.
